6 reasons why you can love or hate Florentina Holzinger

It was a complete downer when I came 10 minutes too late for the world premiere of TANZ. It happened at the 25th anniversary of the City of Women Festival at Kinošiška, in October 2019. Even though the 10 min delay was announced to organizers ahead, noone could help me when big guys at the door didn’t let me in. So drinking a couple of gin’n’tonics and enjoying revisiting old friendships while waiting for the enigmatic dance show to be over – seemed the only way out of the nasty self-mind-fuck. But than it happened, the dooor opened and we were all invited for the artist’s talk. Only about 10 minutes after the show, I was honoured to sit down in front of the author – Austrian contemporary dancer, performer, and choreographer Florentina Holzinger.

Just a bit before artist’s talk I have managed to enter cleared out movie hall which was turned into fabulous magic like 3D movie set. I was astonished by the scenery. The main drape was a grandiose, and veristic painting of nature. So psychedelic, it was still alive. No, it was not a movie set, it was a contemporary dance playset. One naked and beautiful actress was still moving around in the mist and picking up something before finally leaving the stage. I could sense something very special happened inside and even such a tiny glimpse of it gave the sense to life and the universe. As only a masterpiece can.

Let’s move on with 6 things why you will love or hate Florentina Holzinger.

  1. SHE IS SUPER SMART, BLUNT AND BLONDE.
Her appearance on at the discussion and her attitude reminded me of Uma Thurman in the one and only Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. Rebooted in the present, with amazing presence. For her no enemy is less than an enemy, either a winner or a loser, everyone is both. Of course, Florentina Holzinger is, like me, a great Tarantino’s admirer.
  2. SHE BELIEVES IN SELF. SHE IS AN UNBEATABLE OPTIMIST.
No matter how much blood or nakedness is in the show, Florentina Holzinger is an optimist. She believes in the power of oneself. There is self, its mind and its body. No matter how controlled, conquered, colonised or contaminated are our minds and our bodies, the body and the mind come first and stay last. They are power suckers, but also immense power sources of and for the self. The body and the mind as the first and the last frontier. Nothing is too much, or too far, self stays. Through body, its movement, and its positions, everything is possible so even though each meadow ends and even though everything has its brink into the abyss, there is always a chance – to fly.
  3. SHE BELIEVES IN FAIRIES.
…and if you love fairies it’s hard not believe in them. I am not so sure about her, but I do. Once I read that the fairies are messengers of the air, elves of the wood, sirens of the sea, as plant and root teachers are messengers of the soul and spirit evolution. Florentina said that fairies don’t have a soul, meaning they are immortal, so for them the time is timeless and the space is limitless. Now you are saying – isn’t that somehow bearing a resemblance with our soul and the spirit? Finally, on Wikipedia it sais fairy is a form of the spirit. Couldn’t agree more.
  4. SHE COMPARES PORNOGRAPHY WITH BALLET AND FREAK SHOWS WITH PERFORMANCE ART.
Maybe we could say that these are basically TANZ starting points. She asks herself what is to be done with classical ballet? Does such control and aggression over the body for artistic purposes (still) make sense? To put it more precise, the question is not if but what kind of sense? It definitely reminds me of the times when I was asking myself analogical questions related to the function and value of a painting, dawning etc. in the context of contemporary art. Or the function and value of vocals in the mid-nineties rave music when I couldn’t hear or rather I was disgusted if vocals echoed on the dancefloor. I will leave you with that, and conclude with my thought “Everything always is, has been, and will be. There is nothing really new only the morphology of things is changing.” What happens if we ask ourselves how much a ballet use of the body differs from the pornographic body. Controlling bodies by dance and having sex as a public act? Both acts are controversial since dance is somehow made more for freedom, and the sex for intimacy. While in ballet, and in pornography this is turned upside down.
  5. SHE PROMOTES PATRONAGE AS A SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY SOLUTION.
Florentine basically called for a comeback of patrons. Yes, the legendary patrons as the Medici, Italian banking family in the 16th century. Even-though Medici were not the only rich family of the 15th century, they stood out for their support of the art production. I know that contemporary art market as an investment market is booming and that there are few online platforms where a form of patronage is encouraged and enabled but still – let’s envision a service/system/platform where wealthy individuals invest money, not only in art objects but even more so in art production, supporting artist daily expenses.
I think it could be an online platform bearing similarities with a dating application. The patron – artist hook up should not be built upon objective super quality categorisation instead, it should be an intimate, romantic, super individualised process. From optionally anonymous support to possibly becoming a family.
  6. SHE THINKS LAZY IS COOL
Or I think lazy is cool. Even though she is a super workaholic, I sensed she is laid back as well. Let me comment with my own words: the last thing our abundant overstuffed world need is productiveness. We should all work as little as possible. We can close down all the factories for production of the new since we have already produced everything we might need for the next century and more. It is time for reduction. All our effective work can only exist as caring services, repairing and recycling. No more new things. Nada. Work can’t be praised as a moral or material value. It is the greatest pollutant and oblivion trigger. We all should work just about enough to stay sane. In the world of abundance and in the age of AI automatisation works becomes an emotional category. Something not to be valued per se, but something to keep us sane, to make us feel good.

Contaminated with Optimism

The Emergence Theory

And here it is, will be, and always has been. The Emergence Theory by the Quantum Gravity Research from LA. The author, David Jakubovic made a crystal clear and pretty mind-blowing science as fiction! I can only leave you with an invitation to watch the film and to get acquainted with ‘my goddess’ The Consciousness.

“I think that’s the job for each of us: to show our best toys and our best tricks that lift has for us and our friends to ever more unfamiliar levels. There is no end to this bootstrapping process. The future of the human mind and body and the future of humans together is endlessly bright.” Terence McKenna (1946-2000)

Since around 2012 my mind is buzzing along spiritual realms. I have been constantly trashing or upgrading the mind with various online educational resources. Honestly, a lot of it wasYoutube.

However, my laic knowledge of the modern physics, its subatomic universe measured by relative time, the quantum processes in biology, David Eagleman’s neuroscience and much more – shifted my personality from being a rational critic of neoliberal capitalism to become irrational promotor of optimism.

On the other hand my personal daily challenge is coping with a delayed and prolongated postpartum depression. Nowadays it looks even more challenging because most of my grandiose revelations are gone. Besides I am unintentionally fighting the slow process of accepting and letting go my inability to become a morning person. No spiritual or any other wisdom truly helps, so I play around with the constant search for affirmations of spirituality through (historic) philosophical approvals, theological renderings, and through scientifically legitimate validations.

Let’s see what does it mean to have a great day experiencing full on synchronicity, having a bliss bliss, and because of the latest discovery of The Emergence Theory, simultaneously the oldest and the newest theory of everything.

According to a rather disputable but amusing School of Life, my philosophy is remarkably similar to David Hume‘s philosophy prioritizing feelings, re-modeling the common sense, in consequence educational framework, and much more. After this realization I get so inspired that I just want something simple, so I say let’s check a double slit experiment again. Since quite a while I have been intrigued by a so called conscious observer responsible for a collapse of the quantum wave function. Namely, in all these experiments a conscious observer is always represented by a video camera. Still confused and in indirect search for an answer I have decided to finally check The Emergence Theory.

The synchronicity with David Hume’s philosophy needs a separate blog post. Instead let’s continue with David Jakubovic, who among other great things claims that all time affects all time all the time.

Good Night and Good Morning at the same time! Literally!

Nice, isn’t it?

Does this statement relaxes you, or does it makes you slightly uncomfortable?

What or how you feel if you are sure about the simultaneous existence of all possible realities?

Or as Katrin Barad would put it: “Even worse, if the electron has a wave function for each of the possible measurements we could perform on it, then talking about a single particle actually means talking about a multitude, possibly an infinity, of different wave functions.”

I don’t remember the context of how and why this would go from bad to worse, but for me realizing this multitude, also as the constant shifting among the number of parallel, yes parallel realities, is calling for a complete make over of our multi-sapiens morality, justice and much more. The collective consciousness is formatting, forming and formulating the new common sense discourse, individual awareness and much more.

Is it really new?

We are all rich. But not everybody are able to enjoy it.

That’s why my coaching program is challenging the monetary habits or so to say our personal monetary politics.

The core ideology can be subtracted from the following claim: it is not about my service being on sale, instead, it is about making you rich.

The rich in my terms sure is about the money, but not exclusively. If someone doesn’t perceive her/his everyday life, rhythm and ride as being rich in this way or another, no money can help when something is continuously lacking.

Being able to realize what you lack, luckily there exist great self-help tools. I used them and they profoundly changed my life. Basically, you divide your life into sections and rate the contentment for the specific section from 1 to 10. In the areas of your life, scoring the lowest, list the immediate and long-term way out ideas. Wait a day, or two, and thoroughly re-think what could be the most effortless action or non-action plan resulting in the maximum, optimal and fine-tuned effect.

Simply, you have to find the easiest, most affordable and most convenient way out and only then stick to it. It needs to be nailed as a reduction mechanism – some sort of simple set of tricks which will function as being in the line with the cause-and-effect ‘philosophy’.

I have in such way sorted out about a half of my areas of life, which now rate much higher than, oh, is it already two years ago?

The areas that are persisting in a sort of stuck position, whereas no re-boot had worked yet, for which it seems no action plan is functioning and all mechanisms are failing; these areas are if nothing else, something special indeed.

So, don’t ever nag about it for real, I know it sounds crazy as in c r a z y – now, stop beating yourself up with any kind of the macro or micro guilt trips.

Instead be amazed of its particularity and let the bizarre and tiring self-protection glitch become a state of wonder and amusement.

Only a couple of days ago, maybe already weeks I have finally experienced the overwhelming power of embracing the shit, for and with which my sup/supra/sub or even the sole consciousness itself can’t stop messing up with my daily production/reduction potential.

BAM. BUM. AH. OU. YE.

A coach is here to stay.

It is great to be a coach, but it is even more great to have a coach.

Coaching phenomenon is not growing by chance, it is here because it is the mechanism enabling feeling truly great about one another. Finally.

People are people

so what could it be?

If you and I are getting on so perfectly.

People for people. Simple as it seems.

When both sides are winning – it is free as and from a destiny.

Get ready to take the most selfish and altruistic ride of the life.

Simultaneously. Fine-tuned.

Clicked enough perfectly.

In Giving We Receive – The Amazing Trigger for Motivation

It was one of those lucky days when Google search simply drops out great results. One of the most inspiring ones was the article on motivation published on Quartz at Work entitled Psychologists Have Surprising Advice for People who Feel Unmotivated.

Feel free to click on the links and read it through. Basically, it is an academic investigation published in MIT Sloan Management Review with the original title Should I Give Advice or Receive it?

The study reveals how giving the advice is a more effective as to receive it. Meaning that those who gave the advice on how to improve study habits, how to be more successful in managing personal finances, or simply how to get things done and be at our best – were more motivated and gained faster and better results in life performance than those who received it.

Nice example of quantum paradigm in which there are always two sides of a coin. In addition, we are not here for taking or giving the advice, but much more for the supportive collaboration of our lifetimes.

The Symposium on Kazimir Malevich: Art, Literature, Modern Science and Spirits

The 140 years have passed since the birth of Kazimir Malevich and 103 years since the first public exposure of the iconic Black Square at the Last Futurist Exhibition 0.10.

On the occasion of the 140th anniversary, Kristina Pranjič delivered a stunning international symposium, at which the art and literature from the dawn of the previous century were presented, debated and analyzed. Besides referring to art history, philosophy, and socio-politics, the whole specter of the modern scientific knowledge finally represented one of the key contexts, along with the Russian Cosmism firmly positioned as one of the most relevant topics for an in-depth understanding of both, the previous and present century of self, art and society.

Hopefully, my contribution entitled Quantum Paradigm and Its Spiritual Resemblance had some emotional or epistemological impact, for I was in some way or another totally moved and deeply inspired by everyone’s lecture/appearance that I managed not to miss. Vladimir Medenica, Janez Vrečko, Iztok Osojnik, Miklavž Komelj, Bojan Andjelković, and Kristina Pranjič each presented some strikingly fresh content, a knowledge empowered by shifting perspectives. However that may be, my biggest awe goes to the honorary guest, a triple Ph.D. holder and a retired cosmonaut Juri Baturin, who in an interview by Dragan Živadinov didn’t only warm up my mind; his innocent vibe, the oak like presence, and a modest embodiment of his grandiose lifestyle resulting in the magnificent open-mindedness, entirely blew up my heart.

For the end, I would like to reveal what overwhelmed me most, and how I upgraded my personal epistemological awareness after spending two fascinating afternoons at the Osmo/za. A jewel of history is the fact that the Russian Space Program is based on the their cosmistic philosophy, art, and theory in which the space is not another unknown territory yet to be explored (and exploited), but it is The Universe in which artistic, spiritual and scientific contexts are equally important for creation of a mindset and the technologies to reach the space among the stars, not only out there, but also within us. There is no universe and us, we are the universe, and the universe is us.

Effortless Discipline

No matter how challenging is the task, how persisting are afflictions, or how annoying got the habit – embracing it means accepting, finding and applying personally tailored discipline. It can be hard but it must be effortless. Only as such, it can succeed in a sustainable and lasting effect. Productive reasoning does not help here, what you need is a constantly evolving reductive thinking process.
An ecological mind mechanics resulting in the mechanism for empowering the will, revealing itself as an implicit life transforming agency.

Modern Art – A Quantum Restrospection

Just imagine realizing the cubist paintings are actually representing the space-time and quanta based formations of the holographic universe, mind and matter; or a pointillist painting is seen as a particle-wave dimension of the reality; or impressionist painters are showing the instability of photon (electron) particle, or to be more precise the inability of being just an objective observer; or to perceive Kazimir Maljevič’s Black Square, in addition to all of the above, as the ultimate example of a matter/antimatter relation, and so on and so forth.

THE FUTURE OF WORK

According to a belief that our mind plays a crucial role in creating reality, I like to say we live in the world of abundance, in which the scarcity should be addressed as an issue of incompetent or inadequate, and clearly bad distribution policy. It is our hyper-production of goods which creates this world of abundance and in addition the illusion of choices. We are all becoming hoarders, trashing our world(s) with stuff and losing our minds with the constant time-consuming confrontation of choices. Simply, the production, precisely ‘the work’ as the key category of the global economy market becomes absurd. A misused and misplaced driving force with universally chaotic effect. So why work and what is its essence, if it is neither a survival nor production necessity? The answer lies at the heart of the matter: the work is an emotional (and psychological) category, a health generator. We all need to work to stay out of trouble and to keep our sanity. The emotional balance and the joy of being fulfilled largely depend on doing the work we love.

To conclude, there are two types of the work in the future and for the future: a work as an act of creation (innovation) and a work in the domain of taking care (of each other and of all the stuff we already produced).
